Performance art

I work and live in Iniö, a small island in the baltic sea, west from Turku, Finland. I’m a performance artist but I also teach, write and organise stuff. My favourite way to work is with others.

A lot of my time goes to finding the right questions, then eventually some answers and gradually the way approach it all. After those steps it gets much easier. The rest is often surprising and never linear but at least it’s usually tangible. I often make live performances of some kind, video or audio work and writings.

One of the biggest challenges in my artistic practise right now is how to have an international art career while reducing the carbon footprint of my work. This is what I investigate parallel to the thematics that are important to me: Equality, equity, sustainability, patience, courage, love and empathy.
